“Coldclear” comprises twenty six relatively short ambient works, created by the treatment of six edits of pieces originally recorded and released by David as The Heavenly Music Corporation in January 1989. Many of the pieces on the album appear to have absolutely nothing going on except a far off drone but, if you listen closely, you may hear what are, by definition, almost imperceptible changes in the ambience, created by the treatment. Others, of course, have more obvious elements of change to them.
